Ian Galbraith started work after School training as an Architectual Technician, he gained his Btec National qualification in Building & constuction and became qualified in C.A.D. designing, he followed in his Grandfathers footsteps and trained as a monumental mason, after working for 15 years lettering and fixing headstones and looking after the memorial orders of over 20 funeral homes, he moved on towards building a succesful run monumental mason company in Ilkley and then Keighley. He has been working in the memorial industry for over twenty years and has been involved in over 10,000 memorials in this time and learnt all aspects of the memorial business.

With this knowledge and passion for this work Ian has decided to create Galbraith Memorials, to be able to help all clients create and design a truly bespoke memorial for their loved one.

We guarantee all our memorials comply with the NCoWP and BS8415, all our foundations comply with these unlike our competitors

Our Facilities

To be able to keep our costs low and pass these savings on to our customers we work from our workshop in Bingley, opposite All Saints Church,

on Keighley Road.

Our Beliefs

With many people choosing to portrait a memorial mason and having very few years expeirence in the job, Ian has trained and honed his skills and able to create a solution to a problem and or offer ideas to help create that perfect memorial

as a memorial mason
We believe that when choosing a memorial, you would rather speak to someone who listens, helps and generates ideas to a solution or thought rather than someone who only offers what is available from a brochure.

We also believe that you would prefere to do business with a family run firm who only want to offer a service first and foremost and secondly make a living so they can give their children a modest upbringing, instead of a SEO of a coperate company buying a second home.

As you will find, with the years of experience we have we have been able to learn and create new techiques to the industry thus being able to provide a more fitting service.
